1. WHAT THIS PAGE IS
This is the AI Features Pricing Schedule referred to in clause 3A of the Streamtime Licence Agreement. It explains how use of the Streamtime AI assistant is measured and, if you choose to use more than your plan includes, how it would be charged.
2. NOTHING ON THIS PAGE APPLIES TO YOU YET
We are not charging AI usage fees. Use of the AI Features is included in your subscription. There is no metered allowance, no spending limit to set, and no charge you can incur.
Before additional AI usage becomes available to any customer, we will publish the figures on this page — the allowance included with your plan, the minimum, and the amounts at which your card would be charged — and give you notice before they take effect, in accordance with clause 1.3 of the Licence Agreement. You will not find out what it costs after the fact.
The rest of this page describes the model we intend to use, so that you can see how it would work before it applies to you.
3. HOW AI USAGE WOULD BE MEASURED
AI usage is metered, like electricity. A long, complex conversation with the assistant costs more than a quick question, and you would be able to see that.
Usage is counted in AI Credits. One AI Credit is one tenth of one United States cent. Your allowance, your usage and any charges would always be shown to you in your own billing currency. A single exchange rate is fixed on the first day of each calendar month and used for that whole month, so the figure you set is the figure you are billed, whatever happens to exchange rates in between.
AI usage runs on the calendar month, not on your subscription billing date.
4. WHAT YOUR PLAN WOULD INCLUDE
Paid plans would include a monthly AI allowance. The amount, and the minimum, will be published in this section before additional usage is available to anyone.
Your allowance would be set on the first day of each month and would not change if you upgrade or downgrade partway through. Unused allowance would not carry over. It expires at the end of the month and has no cash value. It would not be refundable and could not be exchanged.
Free plans would not include an AI allowance. Trial accounts would receive the minimum allowance only and could not authorise additional usage.
5. IF YOU WANTED MORE THAN YOUR PLAN INCLUDES
You would never be charged for AI usage unless you chose to be. The default limit on every account is zero, and clause 3A.8 of the Licence Agreement makes that a contractual commitment rather than a setting.
If you wanted to use more than your allowance, someone who can manage your subscription would set a monthly ceiling — the most you are willing to be billed for additional AI usage in a month, in your own currency. Until a ceiling is set, no AI usage charges can arise. You would never be billed more than the ceiling you set.
You could raise your ceiling at any time, effective immediately. You could lower it, but not below what has already been used in the current month. You would choose whether a change applies to the current month, from the next month, or both.
Additional AI usage would be available to customers who pay Streamtime by card. If you pay by bank transfer, you would receive your included allowance and nothing would be charged.
6. HOW ADDITIONAL USAGE WOULD BE BILLED
Nothing would be bought in advance. There would be no credit packs and no prepaid balances.
Additional usage would be billed after you have used it. Each time your unbilled additional usage reached a set amount in your currency, we would invoice that amount and charge it to the card on file. That amount, for each currency we bill in, will be published in this section before additional usage is available to anyone. Anything remaining below that amount would be invoiced at the end of the month.
If a card payment failed, the usage would remain payable. Additional AI usage would stop immediately, but the AI Features would continue to work within your included allowance, and your access to Streamtime would not be affected. We would retry the payment daily for up to 30 days, and additional usage would resume as soon as it succeeds.
7. CONTROLLING WHO CAN USE AI
Access to the AI Features is switched off for each person by default and has to be turned on deliberately — the opposite of most Streamtime permissions, because this one can spend money.
Turning someone on lets them use your included allowance. Letting them spend beyond it would be a separate step: each person would have their own monthly limit for additional usage, starting at zero. An administrator could raise it, or remove it, per person.
If someone reached their personal limit, their request would stop and you would not be charged for it.
8. THINGS WORTH KNOWING
Long conversations cost more. Each new message in a conversation re-reads everything before it, so the tenth question in a thread costs more than the first. A thread kept open all week will use your allowance faster than the same questions asked separately.
If you walk away mid-answer, the work is still done. Closing the panel or navigating away does not stop a request that is already running, so it would still count against your allowance.
If our system fails, we absorb it. Where a request cannot be completed because of an error or outage on our side, we would not charge you for it.
We would never bill past your ceiling. We estimate the cost of each request while it runs and settle the exact figure shortly after, so a request can occasionally cost slightly more than estimated. Any amount above your ceiling is our cost, not yours.
9. CHANGES TO THIS SCHEDULE
We will update this page whenever the allowance, the rates or the thresholds change, and give you notice before the change takes effect, in accordance with clause 1.3 of the Licence Agreement. The date at the top of this page is the date it was last updated, and previous versions are linked at the foot of this page.
